Collaboration Includes Future Fragrance Project with International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF)
Edison, NJ, Bronx, NY and New York, NY – Caswell-Massey, America’s Original Perfumers and Chemists, and The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), America’s premier urban garden, will introduce a new collection of bath products with fragrances inspired by the Botanical Garden.
Established in America in 1752, Caswell-Massey is a treasured American brand with a strong heritage in personal care and fragrance products derived from natural ingredients. The New York Botanical Garden, established in 1891, is world-renowned as a botanical authority and a ‘verdant oasis’ in NYC, whose beauty has served to inspire generations of visitors, including Caswell-Massey’s namesake owners.
Sets of three of Caswell-Massey’s exquisitely crafted luxury soaps will launch in September 2017 featuring three classic floral fragrances– Lilac, Gardenia and Honeysuckle. Each set will retail for $24.00. Hand creams in these same three scents will be also be available. All products will feature NYBG branded packaging and botanical illustrations from the Rare Book and Folio Collections of NYBG’s LuEsther T. Mertz Library, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these products will support NYBG’s work in plant research and conservation, horticulture, and education.
Future plans for the partnership include the development of a unique fragrance utilizing the botanicals found at NYBG. This exciting project will meld knowledge and experience of both master gardeners and renowned perfumers from fragrance industry leader International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF). Work on the new scent has already begun.
Caswell-Massey President Nick Arauz, who was appointed in October 2016 , has been tasked with modernizing the much-loved brand while respecting its rich history. Arauz sees these partnerships as a crucial step in this process.
