Coloring Outside the Lines
Never known to color inside the lines, native Colorado artist Bee Sturgis creates artwork by using traditional medium: chalk pastels, oil pastels, acrylic, photography, rubber stamping, etc. Her work begins with a specific color pallet in mind, she then layers textures over colors adding and subtracting using digital tools and techniques until an image emerges that creates a unique, expressive pattern.
Bee lives in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado with her husband and 4 Alaskan Klee Kai dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoys frequent trips to Santa Fe, New Mexico to re-charge her creative “juices”.
Bee studied fine art and commercial art and has worked in advertising, design and publishing. Her artwork has been featured on fabric, paper dinnerware, napkins, tins, and on a line of greeting cards. We are looking for categories in wall art, fabrics, home decor, tabletop and stationery.
