The New York Botanical Garden
The beauty & heritage of an iconic landmark comes to life through consumer products
Our objective was to build a long term, strategic licensing program for this renowned cultural institution and National Historic Landmark with royalties supporting the institution’s charitable mission. Our Creative Services team worked with NYBG to develop biannual on-trend creative assets derived from NYBG’s archive of botanical artwork to aide licensees in product development across a diverse array of products. The licensing program now includes 20+ licensees and retail partners in categories including home decor, stationery, books, gift, jewelry, bath and body, fragrance and fabric. High-profile collaborations include an exclusive partnership with Frontgate for wall and outdoor decor, a co-branded collaboration with Oscar de la Renta in tabletop and a new co-branded partnership with Caswell-Massey.
As a result of a strong partnership with Tea Forté, the NYBG hosted an Afternoon Tea event to celebrate the launch of the NYBG tea line. The event was a grand success and will have print placement for Jardin in the July issue of LUXE Magazine. Between all the posts, stories and editorial that resulted from the guests who attended, there were well over 1.5 million impressions for this event.
