As a six year-old girl, typographer and illustrator, Whitney Barnard would sit in front of her tiny television with her head buried in sheets of paper attempting to mimic the styles and structures of the typography you see in the beginning credits of all the classic Walt Disney films. Lettering and illustration has stayed by her side ever since. Whitney attended FIT in New York for fashion illustration and after attending the Creative Circus in Atlanta, Georgia for a degree in design, she started her own design and illustration business at the age of 22.
Where it Began
Double Dare Creative Co.’s clever and cute hand-illustrated designs began to quickly make their way onto everyday lifestyle items such as greeting cards, coffee cups, pillows, tote bags and t-shirts spawning popularity and interest among well-known stores such as, Barnes and Noble, Macy’s and Hallmark.
